This advanced interactive case discussion is aimed at cardiologists, (interventional) radiologists and vascular surgeons of a competent and proficient level.

It will focus on the treatment of atherosclerotic lesions in the femoropopliteal area. Crossing strategies as well as the various treatment options after crossing will be discussed.  Nowadays several possibilities are available: Plain Angioplasty, Drug coated balloon angioplasty, bare-metal- or drug-eluting-stents, stent grafts, atherectomy, lithoplasty etc.  This webinar will present a treatment algorithm based on the lesion's and patients’ characteristics

 

Learning objectives :

Be able to decide upon current evidence and guidelines which endovascular modality used be used, how to plan your peripheral procedure and when open surgery is indicated.

Be able to decide what endovascular treatment modality will work best based upon patient comorbidities, lesion location and characteristics, run-off…
